Performance feature
1. Used in electrical power system: nanocrystalline alloy’s saturation induction density Bs is between silicon steel and Permalloy, the Bs figure is lower ,it is more favorable to reduce the instrument safety factor. When a system failure occurs and generates a huge current through transformer, the core is more easily saturated, The secondary current will no longer rise proportionally, thus reach the purpose of protecting instrument from secondary damage.Nanocrystalline’s permeability is close to Permalloy’s, which is an order of magnitude higher than silicon steel's.
2. Used in precision measuring instrument: Fe-based nanocrystalline material has a high initial permeability and a stable performance, especially suitable for magnetic devices in high sensitivity situation, thus make sure it can react quickly and precisely, meanwhile have a good stability. According to the measurement accuracy grade requirements(0.5-0.01rank,nominal voltage05-500kv),price requirements, small ratio, Low turns amperes or core size is limited because of the volume requirements, cold rolled silicon steel in most cases can not reach the accuracy requirements. Although high permeability Permalloy can reach accuracy requirements, it cost a lot. While nanocrystalline core not only can reach accuracy requirements, but also have a lower price than Permalloy.
